Don’t let the fat content of Almond butter put you off; the fat in almonds is mainly monounsaturated fat which has been shown to help reduce our risk of cardiovascular disease and help us control our blood sugar levels more effectively. Studies have shown that eating almonds may not cause us to gain weight, in fact, some research has suggested including almonds in our diets may help us lose weight which is great news!

Almonds contain both protein and fibre which can help to keep us full until our next meal and reduce the need for those pesky snacks. Amelia recommends a heaped tablespoon of nut butter each day as part of a healthy, balanced diet.
