Kitchen Of Kirsten's Peanut Butter Cereal Ball

Peanut butter + banana = pure delight. Well at least in my opinion, and im sure you peanut butter lovers will agree with me! This breakfast bowl lets you enjoy both, with added crunch and it will keep you satisfied for hours, due to the energy from the oats!

I made this recipe upon impulse, as I was craving cereal and peanut butter – these balls are the perfect combination of both of those ideas!

They’re super simple to make, only a few ingredients, one bowl and no blender required. Only 20 minutes from start to finish, it’s a good quick breakfast fix, I know you’ll love them!

1 cup oats (ground into a flour)

1 medium banana, mashed (3 tbsp)

3 tbsp Meridian peanut butter

2 tbsp Meridian pure maple syrup

1/2 tsp baking powder

A pinch of sea salt (omit if peanut butter is salted)


If you don’t like banana, try using apple purée instead! I haven’t tried using any other flour but i’m sure others would work well too, such as spelt or buckwheat. Similarly with the peanut butter, you could use any nut butter, or even tahini if you’re allergic to nuts! 


Grind the oats into a fine flour. If you have oat flour already, you can use this. Then add to a bowl with the baking powder and salt.

Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Mash the banana in a separate bowl, then stir in the maple syrup and peanut butter.

Pour wet ingredients into the dry, and stir to combine throroughly.

Roll the mixture into balls and place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, then move them about and cook for a a further 5 minutes, until golden brown.

Allow to cool completely before transferring to an airtight container. Enjoy when you want them, with plant milk and fruit!
