James is our in house fitness enthusiast! He has made the decision to share his fitness journey (both challenges and achievements) with you, which will include weekly fitness and nutrition updates.

Where did your passion for fitness begin?

I showed early interest in rowing at the age of 6, as I lived within a stone’s throw of the sea. I particularly enjoyed outdoor activities such as Rowing, snorkelling & scuba diving. I then developed an interest for cross country running at secondary school, if I ran fast enough we could catch an earlier train home from school after sport! Great incentive. I rowed for Exeter and have unbeaten record of over 14 wins in the Shaldon Regatta Long Distance pairs row. (last row at 51). Best run at the age of 46-- 10k in 33.00min. 

How do you maintain your active lifestyle?

  • My current training consists of 1 or 2 runs per week
  • 1 x Early morning PT training 
  • 2 x kettle weights & core fitness sessions

What is your current favourite post workout snack?

My go to post workout snack is Meridian Almond Butter, Honey & Oat milk shake
