Hope

Here at Meridian we don't believe in the need for using palm oil. Palm oil has been cited by environmental groups as a threat to the orangutans in the rainforests of Indonesia. We are proud to support the Borneo Orangutan Survival (BOS) Foundation who are currently providing welfare and rehabilitation for approximately 800 orphaned and displaced orangutans. We want to introduce you to one of our adopted orangutans Hope, and give you a sneak preview of his life...

Hope is a very intelligent Forest School student and a skillful nest builder. Hope loves sleeping in the forest and being treated to milk when he's feeling unwell. Hope follows around anyone with milk in their hands hoping they treat him with a bottle! Hope loves playing with his friends but also likes his alone time. He is most commonly found roaming around Forest School exploring and comes back to camp to enjoy some delicious fruit. By watching Hope's rapid development, we are sure that Hope will make an amazing wild orangutan in the forest.
